Participation in 2nd Batch Regional Course on Good Clinical Practice, Aug 17-19 2016

As Regional Training Center for Health Research in South East Asia Region supported by WHO/TDR, Center for Tropical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine UGM has organized several courses. Tilakh C Nath, one of our students, had the opportunity to attend 2nd Batch of Regional Course on Good Clinical Practice which was held in Phoenix Hotel Yogyakarta on August 17-19 2016. GCP is an international standard for designing, conducting, analyzing, and reporting clinical trials that involve human subjects. During the course, he gained knowledge and skills on how to manage a good research particularly Clinical Trials such as how to develop a good Standard Operational Procedure (SOP), what are the investigator’s responsibilities, reviewing informed consent. In this course he felt fortunate had discussion with good facilitators and shared experiences with other participants from Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
