On Monday, 15 November 2021. Our beloved board coordinator dr. Yodi Mahendradhata, M.Sc., PhD. was one of panelists for Global expert panel: Knowledge translation after COVID-19: Driving change through the evidence-policy-society interface forum.

 

WHO Global Evidence-to-Policy (E-2-P) Summit itself is a forum to capitalize all the lesson learned in evidence-informed policy-making in time of COVID-19. The event was conducted by WHO and held online.

Prof. dr. Hari Kusnanto, DrPH

Prof. dr. Hari Kusnanto, DrPH is a medical doctor and a professor in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Population Health. He earned his DrPH in Epidemiology title from Yale University, School of Medicine. He is the course coordinator of environmental health in the Special Programme in Implementation Research, FK-KMK UGM. He has a big interest in research in the field of medical and health sciences, epidemiology, public health, and health services.

dr. Lutfan Lazuardi., M.Kes., PhD.

dr. Lutfan Lazuardi, PhD obtained both his degree as a medical doctor (1999) and master’s degree in public health (2002) at FK-KMK UGM. In 2006, he earned his PhD from Medizinische Universität Innsbruck Austria. Health informatics is indeed his forte. He led the Master Program of Health Management Information System (SIMKES) at FK-KMK UGM. He has been involved in plenty of public health informatics and health management information systems at regional and national levels. Moreover, he has been collaborating with multiple health institutions across Indonesia. From 2012 – 2015 he served as vice-head of the Indonesia Association of Health Informatics (PIKIN). He was part of the development of the Indonesian Health Informatics Forum, a national forum that aims to strengthen the health information system among different stakeholders in Indonesia. His research focuses on medical and health sciences, health care administration, public health and health services.

Prof. Dra. Yayi Suryo Prabandari, M.Si., Ph.D

Prof. Dra. Yayi Suryo Prabandari, M.Si., Ph.D is currently the Head of Health Behavior, Environment, and Social Medicine Department, FK-KMK UGM. She earned both bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in clinical psychology at FK-KMK UGM then continued her doctoral study for community medicine at Newcastle University, Australia. She’s been lecturing at FK-KMK UGM since 1990. She is currently also the Head of UGM Health Promoting University, Head of Behavior and Health Promotion Postgraduate Concentration, Head of Postgraduate Programme of Bioethics UGM, and course coordinator of Social Sciences and Behavior in Public Health also Public Health Communication and Advocacy in Special Programme in Implementation Research UGM. Out campus, she is UGM representative for ASEAN University Network — Health Promotion Network from 2014 – 2019. Her scope of research and publications are focused on smoking behavior. From 2015 – 2018 she is working on research in passive smokers under collaboration with RTI USA and funded by PEER Health USAID USA.

Dr.rer.nat.dr. BJ. Istiti Kandarina

Dr. Istiti Kandarina teaches Nutrition and Health at FK-KMK UGM. She finished her medical doctor degree in 1987 at FK-KMK UGM. In 1995, she earned her doctoral degree in Biological Chemistry and Nutrition from the University of Hohenheim, Germany. Her research focuses on health epidemiology and nutrition, metabolic syndrome, and adult obesity. Her latest study in 2018 is titled “Counselor HealthCare Teenage School in Gondomanan Yogyakarta.” funded by the Service Community UGM 2018 Grant.

Dr. Mubasysyir Hasanbasri, MA.

Dr. Mubasysyir Hasanbasri, MA. was the Head of the Master Program in Public Health, FK-KMK UGM and the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Population Health (2017-2021). He completed his studies at FK-KMK UGM, starting with his medical doctor in 1988, his master’s degree in 1995 and his doctoral degree at FK-KMK UGM in 2015. His research focuses on public health, primary health care, and social medicine. He was an editor for a book titled “Pemasaran Sosial bagi Organisasi Nirlaba” or “Social Marketing for Franchise Organization”, collaborating with Prof. Ova Emilia.

Prof. dr. Siswanto Agus Wilopo, SU., MSc., ScD

Like many other lecturers in Special Programme in Implementation Research UGM. Prof. dr. Siswanto Agus Wilopo, SU., MSc., ScD also has a long history with FK-KMK UGM. He is a medical doctor and a Professor of Population Health and the Director of the Center for Reproductive Health FK-KMK UGM. He earned his medical degree also at FK-KMK UGM. Later, he received his Master of Science degree from McMaster University, Canada in 1984 and a Doctoral Science degree from the School of Public Health, The Johns Hopkins University in 1990. From 2011 to 2015 he was entrusted to become Chair of Indonesia Public Health Physician Association and the First Chairpersons of Indonesia Demographic Association (IPADI) from 2010 to 2017. He is also a former Deputy Chairperson of the National Family Planning Coordinating Board (BKKBN), Indonesia from 2001 to 2008 and the Deputy Assistant Minister of Population and Environment from 1991 to 2000. He is currently working for Indonesia’s Family Planning 2020 on Data and Monitoring Evaluation. He is also a leader of Performance Monitoring Accountability 2020 for Indonesia. In the Special Programme in Implementation Research, he is the course coordinator of Biostatistics: 1 and Theory and Practice of Public Health. His research and publications are mainly focused on population health, especially in family planning and reproductive health issues.

dr. E. Elsa Herdiana Murhandarwati, M.Kes, Ph.D has been part of FK-KMK since years ago. She finished both her medical (1993) and master study (1996) in Tropical Medicine Program at FK-KMK UGM. Later in 2011, she pursued her doctoral degree in Microbiology at Monash University, Australia. After earning her degree, she flew back to Indonesia and became a lecturer and a researcher in the Department of Parasitology, FK-KMK UGM. dr. E. Elsa Herdiana Murhandarwati, M.Kes, Ph.D is not only in charge of teaching parasitology for both undergraduate and postgraduate students, but she is also the course coordinator of the Epidemiology, Control and Management of Tropical Diseases in Special Programme in Implementation Research, FK-KMK UGM. After years of research experience, she really loves to share her knowledge through TDR Regional Training Center, not to forget she also facilitates Good Clinical Practice and Good Clinical Lab Practice courses for countries under the WHO’s Southeast region. In the field of research her publications are mainly in areas of malaria, tropical medicine, microbiology, protozoology, parasitology, also biomolecular science.
