Globalization influence the health of individuals, societies and the function of health systems in many ways and may present both opportunities and risks, particularly to vulnerable societies. This course provides an overview of current health challenges facing the world. Throughout the course, students will gain insight into how challenges have changed over time. The course discuss the likely determinants of such changes and examine future projections. Successful international health strategies and programs are also highlighted and global health governance structures will be mapped and the role of the key actors explored.
