Two students of Implementation Research graduated in January 2022

On Wednesday, January 26, 2022, Universitas Gadjah Mada held online and offline (limited) graduation which took place at Grha Saba Pramana (GSP). There are 979 Postgraduate Program students graduate, including two students from the Implementation Research program. Both are from they, Anup Khadka from Nepal and Marcos Da Cruz Gomes from Timor Leste.

According to the website of UGM Yogyakarta, Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, D.Eng., IPU, ASEAN Eng., as UGM Rector said the students who graduated today are part of the UGM alumni, which is quite unique. The reason is, students go through the lecture process and graduate in the midst of a pandemic. read more

On Monday, 15 November 2021. Our beloved board coordinator dr. Yodi Mahendradhata, M.Sc., PhD. was one of panelists for Global expert panel: Knowledge translation after COVID-19: Driving change through the evidence-policy-society interface forum.

WHO Global Evidence-to-Policy (E-2-P) Summit itself is a forum to capitalize all the lesson learned in evidence-informed policy-making in time of COVID-19. The event was conducted by WHO and held online. read more

His concept is ”IR- Mentor”, a mentoring platform, aims to helping a wide-range of Implementation research (IR) graduates and professionals around the world. This will be an individual mentoring program in which the matched mentor and mentee will be work together to exchange their ideas, updates and the research activities to enhance the mentees skills and knowledge on health research.

The IR- Mentor will be available freely to provide a self-service tool which will matches mentee with a mentor to promote the learning environment with diverse professionals with similar interest and area of expertise. read more

Implementation Research Program FK-KMK UGM batch 5 had been start. On Monday, Agust, 16, 2021 had been done virtually from their own place the welcoming students within lecturer and supporting staff.

Starting with the speech from FK–KMK which is represented by Prof. dr. Gandes Retno Rahayu, M.Med.Ed., Ph.D as vice Dean of Academic and Students. Continued with the speech frm dr. Many experts have suggested integrating mental health care into primary care to help bridge the mental health care gap. General practitioners (GP) are the first healthcare worker to be called upon to treat patients with mental disorders. In Indonesia, the WHO mhGAP has been systematically introduced to a network of 10,000 primary care clinics as additional mental health training for doctors and nurses pairs, since late 2015. In one of 34 provinces, there is an integrated care model:  co-location of clinical psychologists in primary care clinics. This study evaluated the outcomes of patients who were given mental health care by General Practitioners and those treated by clinical psychologists in primary care. read more

Valido, E. M., Laksanawati, I. S., & Utarini, A. (2018). Acceptability of the dengue vaccination among parents in urban poor communities of Quezon City, Philippines before and after vaccine suspension. BMC research notes, 11(1), 1-5.

This study highlights the high rates of dengue fever in the Philippines and affects mostly children in urban areas. In 2016, the Philippines started mass dengue vaccination in three urban areas including Metro Manila. When vaccinations for children are started, most vaccinations are not accompanied by parental consent, especially in Metro Manila. Therefore, this study aims to describe the acceptance of the dengue vaccine before and after the suspension of the vaccine program in the urban poor area. read more
